That’s what we saw when Shikhar Dhawan single-handedly strengthened the Punjab Kings batting line-up. Out of the 143 runs scored by Punjab Kings against SRH, Dhawan himself scored 99 runs. That match may be in the top 5 for the team’s highest % of runs scored by a player in the IPL.

At number four, we have the only overseas player on the list, Quinton de Kock. It was KL Rahul’s second performance as the duo put on 210 runs without losing a wicket in 20 overs. De Kock scored an excellent 140 runs off 70 balls, while KL Rahul could only score 68 runs off 51 balls. Thankfully, KL Rahul’s late innings didn’t affect them as the Giants weathered Rinku Singh’s storm to win the match by 2 runs.

Number 3 sees Rishabh Pant thrust into the limelight. It was 2018 when Rishabh Pant was in his prime while batting. It was a bowling lineup that featured staples Bhuvneshwar Kumar and spin wizard Rashid Khan, but Pant didn’t spare anyone. He single-handedly led the SRH bowling lineup scoring 68.45% of the team’s runs. Pant scored 128 runs while Delhi’s Harshal scored 24 runs.
The most recent, and undoubtedly the most important knock. What sets this shot apart from the others is the fact that it’s coming from a player who is nearing the end of his career. The Punjab captain scored an unbeaten 99 off 66 balls as Punjab batted from the first to the 20th over to reach a respectable score of 143 runs. It’s a shame he didn’t score a century, but his performance earned him player of the match despite the loss.
Same Punjab team, different captain, but from 2021, KL Rahul is one step ahead of Dhawan with a one-man army knock. Punjab needed a captain to survive the tournament and KL Rahul did exactly that. Chasing a target of 139 against CSK, scored 98 off 42 balls. KL Rahul was in top form helping Punjab chase down a target of 139 runs in 13 overs.

For easy understanding of the users, we will only rank the highest run scorers of each team in IPL 2023. Therefore, we will only have one entry per team. For example, Virat Kohli has scored 639 runs for RCB and is fourth overall. However, as Faf du Plessis scored 730 runs and was selected for RCB, he cannot be included in this list.
Number 10 belongs to Shikhar Dhawan of Punjab Kings. Apart from Dhawan, nobody else could score consistently for PBKS in the batting department. Therefore, Dhawan, who played only 11 matches for PBKS, is in the list of highest run scorers with 373 runs. But, if Dhawan had played 3 more matches, he could have crossed 500+ runs.
