IPL 2023 will bring a plethora of grads spread across 10 teams. With Indian voices favoring pace and spin, each team invested heavily in the stands. This can also be seen from the fact that we have about 81 players in the tournament including 33 players from abroad.

And having said that, we are also witnessing the loss of some really good pacers in the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna who have dominated the tournament due to injury. Even then in the tournament we have a huge availability of grads. So again let’s take a look at the official ranking list for all 10 teams for IPL 2023.

Chennai Super Kings have a total of 10 runs in their team. Out of X, CSK have all rounders Ben Stokes, Dwayne Pretorius, Shivam Dube and Rajvardhan Hangargekar and young Indians in the form of Akash Singh, Tusshar Deshpande and Simajit Singh. They also have two good pacers overseas in Sisanda Magala and Matheesh Pathiran.

KKR have a total of 9 players in their team including 4 players from abroad. The good thing about KKR’s pace is that apart from Venkatesh Iyer, Vaibhav Arora and Kulwant Keirolia, all the other pacers are experienced and their 11 players will be filled with quality experienced grads.

Lucknow Super Giants have a total of 11 pacers in their squad, including 5 overseas pacers. Although that number is good, only Mark Wood, Marcus Stoinis, Dan Sams and Jaydev Unadkar are among the experienced pacers. While the other grads are more talented young grads.

Mark Wood, Avesh Khan, Daniel Sams, Mosin Khan, Marcus Stoinis, Naveen Ul-Haq, Jaydev Unadkat, Kyle Myers, Mayank Yadav, Yash Thakur and Yudvir Charak

Mumbai Indians have lost their pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Jhie Richardson ahead of IPL 2023. Without these two and no replacement named, MI have only 7 pacers in their squad including 4 overseas players. The team is heavily dependent on the Jofra Archers and the foreign archers as well as the young and inexperienced Indian archers.

Punjab Kings have only eight players in their team, but 4 of these 8 pacers are strong enough to enter any playing 11. Although the issue of playing 11 seems to solve the only problem that they have so less players in their team, if any. injuries, they don’t have a good back.

After losing Prasidh Krishna before IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals have only 7 pacers in their squad; 2nd fewest number of grads among all 10 teams. However, like Punia Kings, pacers have a good composition for the game. But they may struggle if more injuries happen.

RCB has a total of 100 runs in their team including 3 overseas runs. They have a solid lineup in their 5-6 team; thus forming a good primary and backup pacer. Additionally, RCB can fall back on young and talented players in case of injury.
