The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for the 16th edition of the T20 league on Friday (February 17). The tournament is scheduled to begin on March 31, 2023 with a match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. At the same time, the summit will be held on May 28.

“The season of 16 marquee events will begin on March 31, 2023 with a blockbuster clash between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad – the world’s largest cricket stadium,” the BCCI said in a statement.
It has also been revealed that the 16th edition of IPL will feature a total of 70 league matches. There will be a total of twelve places during the tournament.
